When working with innovation, we apply different models depending on what type of project it is. We have developed our own innovation process based on the previous research done by CEO Thomas Arctaedius and it is inspired by ideas presented in books like “Business Model Generation” and “Lean Startup”.
The model is a “stage-gate-processes” with clear go/no go decisions on whether to move an innovation to next stage or not. The process creates control and at the same time strengthens the creative aspects of our innovation work. During the process risk and uncertainty regarding technology and market is stepwise reduced.
This approach has been used by Ayond for more than five years. It's powerful and complement our culture, workshop approach, agile thinking and our user-oriented perspective on start-ups.
